A Grand Old Flag
PETER J. KEIM, M.D. has for over 30 years collected authentic antique American flags, spanning from 13 to 50 stars. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Dr. Keim served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Texas, and later settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In addition to lecturing about and exhibiting his flags throughout the United States, he is a member of NAVA and serves on the Board of Directors of The National Flag Foundation.
He and his wife, Patricia, currently live in Pittsburgh PA.
His son, KEVIN KEIM, is a designer and writer with an architectural background. He is the author of An Architectural Life, (Bulfinch Press) and editor of You Have to Pay for the Public Life (MIT Press).
Kevin Keim is also the creator and publisher of PLACENOTES a whole new kind of travel guide. Nine titles, which he designed and wrote, are distributed by the University of Texas Press.
He lives in Austin, Texas, where he is Director of the Charles W. Moore Foundation.
